Yes, we have been registered since February 2003 and our registration number is Z7476615.

Do you have a written Data Protection Policy in Force?

Yes, our latest policy has been in force since 1st June 2004 a copy of which can be viewed upon request.

Do you have a written Policy for handling CRB Disclosure information?

Yes, we fully abide by the CRB Code of Practice and have in place a written policy covering our 'Secure handling, retention and disposal of CRB Disclosure information'a copy of which can be viewed upon request.

If you were to undertake CRB Disclosures for my organisation what would you expect of us?

The responsibilities of the employing organisation are fully set out in our 'Terms and Conditions'

What can we expect of the The Vetting Company if my organisation were to ask them to undertake CRB Disclosures on our behalf?

Our responsibilities to the client are fully laid out in our 'Terms and Conditions'.

I run a totally voluntary organisation, can The Vetting Company act on our behalf?

Yes, CRB Disclosures are available irrespective of whether the role is salaried or totally voluntary. However, if the role is totally voluntary (as specified by the CRB) the Disclosure cost is free but our administration of £15 remains.

My organisation has suffered considerably from internal thefts. Can covert camera surveillance be lawfully deployed?

Yes. The Data Protection Act has guidelines regarding how visual evidence is gathered but in the circumstances mentioned it would be quite acceptable to deploy covert camera surveillance for a set period, subject to certain conditions.
